Britain has not done too badly over all the Olympic Games - being 3rd on the all-time medal list. Having the Olympics here in London in 2012 should give Britain an added home advantage, and, I believe, a will to win more medals than they won at Beijing. We did do rather well, but I still feel our athletes will have a lot to prove competing here at home. The London 2012 Olympics are going to give not only our athletes a boost, but the nation as a whole. It would be good for this country to regain the pride we had in the 40’s and 50’s.
