Well done to our paralympics team ! Is this what we have to look forward to in the Summer Olympics of 2012 to be held in London ? The Great Britain team has done exceptionally well, and managed to put themselves in joint first place, winning four gold medals at the end of day one of the Paralympics Games in Beijing.
Among the medalists were Simon Richardson, Aileen McGlynn , Ellen Hunter, Darren Kenny (cycling) and Sascha Kindred swimming. Three further medals were won in the pool to take Britain to seven, with the United States winning four gold medals making a total of nine medals altogether.
This type of result can only help the London Olympics to be something everyone will look forward to in 2012. To see your athletes win certainly lifts the spirits of a nation. I think the 2012 games are going to live up to everything they are being made out to be.
